Ďalší výraz, ktoré mnohé nemusia poznať, a pritom sa jedná len o techniku, ktorá pôsobí popraskaným dojmom. Pri tejto technike potrebujete krakelovací (praskací) lak, jednokrokový alebo dvojkrokový, akrylátovú farbu a štetec.

Postup pri jednokrokovom laku

Ako predmet na krakelovanie sme si pre predstavu zvolili drevenú šperkovničku.

Spodná vrstva

V prvom kroku natrieme šperkovničku akrylátovou farbou, ktorá bude potom cez prasklinky presvitať na povrch, preto je dôležité si odtieň vhodne premyslieť (ak napr. budeme aplikovať aj servítkovú techniku). Náter necháme poriadne uschnúť.

Krakelovací lak

V druhom kroku nanesieme samotný krakelovací lak. Pozor! Lak nanášame vždy v jednom smere, a od použitého množstva závisí aj veľkosť praskliniek – čím hrubšia vrstva, tým viditeľnejšie praskliny. Opäť necháme zaschnúť.

Vrchná farebná vrstva

V treťom kroku nanášame druhú vrstvu farby - vrchnú, ktorá by mala ladiť s tou prvou, teda spodnou farbou – farbou praskliniek. Farbu nanášame v tom istom smere ako aj krakelovací lak (napr. zľava doprava). Dôležité je neprechádzať už raz namaľované miesto znova. Postupne budete môcť sledovať ako sa tvoria trhliny. Farbu necháme zaschnúť a výrobok je hotový.

Dozdobenie servítkou

Ak si chcete škatuľku prizdobiť vzorom zo servítky, tak postupujete klasicky ako pri servítkovej technike, no dávajte pozor na kontrast farby a zvoleného motívu.
